Weston is still in NICU

I’m going on 40 hours of no sleep as I type this in a hospital bed next to Diana (who is snoring away… morphine will do that to you). Weston has been been in the NICU since he was born. Just moments ago the doctor from NICU who has been watching Weston so far, came in our room and told us that Weston had an “episode” and that he stopped breathing and his heart rate dropped. They were able to get out A LOT of mucus/boogery mess out of his lungs, which was the likely culprit, but decided to put a breathing tube in to be safe. Since he is on the breathing tube now he is going to have his CT scan to make sure the blood around his head is non-threatening. The blood around his head was caused by him being lodged in Diana’s Pelvic bone for hours and the main reason he had to go to NICU to begin with…
Diana is yet to even see Weston, she was too drugged up during the C-Section to remember the nurse holding Weston up just before they put him in his little NICU incubator. Her first visit will be 1AM Sunday morning (5 hours from now). She’ll have to sit up and get into a wheel chair to go down to NICU. Weston will have the breathing tube in when we go.

Weston, you are a trooper!! It was great to meet you and see your sweet little face and hear your cute noises. He looks A LOT like you in that top pic, Mickey!

He looks like a 9 month old baby - so big! Get rid of all your 0-3 month clothes and diapers!

We all knew he would have Diana’s dark hair! He is soooooo cute and big which makes him a strong little boy. We are here if you need us.
